Thank you for your interest in St. Stanislaus College. St. Stanislaus is one of the largest Catholic boarding schools for boys in the United States and has been educating you men for over 153 years. Our foundation is built on structure, consistency and good moral values. St. Stanislaus College admits students of all races, color, national or ethnic origin or religious preference. The following criterion is used to evaluate candidates for admissions to the school: - the individual’s overall school record (both academic and behavioral performances)
- the recommendations of the former school’s principal
- an interview with the applicant and his parents (guardians)
For students transferring to St. Stanislaus, all provisions of the school’s admission policy apply. In addition, any grades expressed numerically are converted to letter grades. Day/Resident Student Status A student is accepted into St. Stanislaus as a day student or as a resident student. A day student is required to live east of the Louisiana-Mississippi state line, south of Mississippi Highway 26, and west of the Ocean Springs, Mississippi city line. Any student living outside this area must be enrolled as a resident student. A St. Stanislaus day student must reside with and be under the daily supervision of a parent, a legal guardian, or a designated adult. No student is allowed to remain at St. Stanislaus if otherwise. If the adult is not a legal guardian, he/she must be agreed upon by the school and the legal guardian. Readmission of Students A student who has been asked to leave St. Stanislaus because of academic or behavioral problems will not be readmitted unless he can demonstrate that the problem has been remedied. If this has occurred, the student can reapply to St. Stanislaus through the Admissions Department, and the Admissions Committee will evaluate the request. The decision to readmit a student and any conditions of his reacceptance rests solely with the Admissions Committee and its decision is final. |
